Series 2 : Episode 23/24 (Live Together, Die Alone)
After discovering something odd just offshore, Jack and Sayid come up with a plan to confront "The Others" and hopefully get Walt back. At the same time there will be an answer to the question of where Michael has been and resolution of him and Walt. Meanwhile, Eko and Locke come to blows as Locke makes a potentially cataclysmic decision regarding the "button" and the hatch. Lastly, Desmond returns and he sheds some more light on his experience on the island in the three years prior to when Locke came down into that hatch.
Note that this episode has two parts: part 1 (episode 23) and part 2 (episode 24). This is the series finale for Season 2.

How do we get these rar. files to play? I usually go for the avi but there is not a choice this time.
download winrar, you'll need all 4 for each part.

Download an unzipping program such as Izarc, Tugzip, 7-zip etc they all support rar files and are freeware. download all parts of the file then extract the file to a directory. make sure all the part files are in the same directory. the program will then un-rar all the parts and put into 1 file for you to watch.

When I got part 1 downloaded, it said the MP3 - MPEG Layer III (55) codec was missing. I'm not sure what that means or where I could get it. Can anyone help?

Thanks for all these episodes but for some reason i have downloaded the upfile files all 600mb and it wont play, do you know what special codec you need. I already tried the DIVX codec but doesnt have any affect. Any help would be most useful.
Hi, if you're having troubles viewing the episodes then we highly recommend you download videolan ( http://www.videolan.org/ ). All episodes are perfectly compatible with videolan.

The full 699mb files from up-file.com (last 3 links) are still showing errors for me in Windows Media Player (it guesses a missing codec). VideoLAN will play the file, but only after reporting that it is broken and rebuilds the AVI index.
Solution: go to http://www.repairvideo.com/download.html, download the 10-day free trial program, and repair the AVI file.

If you guys go on Youtube the first or second day after the episode was first released on TV, you can find uploads. They usually get removed for copyright reasons within the week. But atleast you can catch it on the internet in parts if you live in a different country (without torrents)

About .rar: if your download is in more parts, like the ones i link to under this, select all the .rar-files, right-click and choose "open in" - where you choose winrar. There click extract and Ok/Yes all the way till it starts.

I think we will never get any real answers to the mysteries of the island.
The producers will continue to tease us until we can't take it anymore and then they will end it.
Hurley will probably be the only one that gets back to what 'seems' like civilization, but he's nuts, so nobody will believe his story, not even himself.. The end?
